dead fxd - electrical 2004

Tried to start it yesterday. Turned over once then
When I turn the key on the speedo moves slightly up, then down. Nothing else. Checked battery. (Had a short in one b 4) Checked fuses - all good. Went to start tracking down electrical relays and noticed the large serial plug in to computer interface looking dealeo. It's injected. No fuel pump power up as normally heard. Nothing else.

Any suggestions? Taking it to local dealer will kill the beer fund ... for months.

No headlights i take it. Main breaker ( or maxi fuse) ok? . Other 15 amp fuses(double check) ok? ; Check all battery and ground connections clean and tight at battery and starter and ground studs. Might be bad ingition switch. Need a service manual schematic to procede further.
Oh, and of course it could easily be a bad battery.
