I have done it, easier than stock and dont need any special tools besides inner cam bearing remover and installer and I did it without these, used a blind hole bearing puller from harbor freight and installed the bearing with a aluminum slug for driving bearings and seals. Todd

As to how I like it, I cant answer that as I havent had any time to ride it because of weather, but have heard from lots of people that have done it that is very quiet plus you get the benefit of the higher volume oil pump and no longer have to worry about outer bearings coming apart. HTH Todd

Duke - Thanks for the answer. Sleepsintrees, I did a search. I am asking for slightly different input than what was covered in those messages. If anyone has any miles on that conversion, it would be nice to know their opinion. For that matter, how are you 07 guys making out with it?

You know...forums have been around for so long that I'm surprised anyone automatically assumes that a poster hasn't done a search. It's pretty frickin' annoying and those replies don't deserve a response. My opinion of course.

What's even worse are opinions posted about something totally unrelated to the topic. Now THAT'S annoying.

It's a legit question. I've done the search, read the responses and have yet to see one reguarding anyone who has put some serious mileage on this conversion, which is what I would like to find out if possible. Or is it just a waste of time and funds? 99% of the questions on this forum have been asked before. So why not just spend your time responding "do the search" to them all. If you can't help with the question, why don't you try passing on it?
ANd if I missed something in that search, maybe one of you would be so kind as to point it out or would that be a bit to helpful of ya?

Tsani, I don't think there are a lot of ppl w/a lot of miles on the conversion yet. The thing is, during your search did you find where ppl were having probs w/it? After only 5-6K on mine, so far so good I'd say, but nobody here is gonna be able to give you a garantee of your results.
BTW, being rude ain't the way to get the best responses outta the ruffians that hang out here.

Vic,
During my search, no, I did not notice anyone having a problem with it...yet. Some were questioning the wisdom of the change up. You yourself just gave an indication that was not found in the search. Thanks.
I am not asking for a guarantee of results. After 43 years of riding old iron, TwinCams are kinda new to me, but I am figuring them out and the best way to do that is information.
I wasn't being rude. I am straight up, honest and don't beat around the bush. Ruffians don't scare me much. I can give what I get.
Thanks for the response and info on your build. It will be of help.
