Fuel Additive
I have 2006 Ultra with 38,000 miles. Bike has been maintained and serviced by the same dealer since new. I may be having an occasional fuel injector problem. Bike misses or skips once in a while. I mentioned to the dealer about the HD tech bulletin about the 8 degree injectors (which I have). They said the extended warranty people want to follow a flow chart to get to the injectors. If its something like clogged injectors or some other non warranty problem, I pay. If they are bad they pay.
I was thinking of running a fuel injector cleaner through and see If I have any improvement before I let them have at it. Any recommendations.

Why don't they just put the 25* injectors in...?? Oh yeah, they're after your money.
Good luck.

This is not an extended warranty issue, the service bulletin regarding the 8* injectors is a "customer satisfaction" related bulletin. If your dealer won't do it (lots of them, apparently, still don't understand the bulletin and its requirements), go to another dealer who will. I had the 8* injectors on my '06 E-Glide replaced (along with the requisite re-flash of the ECM) under that program, and it made a decent running bike just soooooo much better! Tell 'em it has cold-start problems, stalls and runs rough when cold. That is the key issue involved in the bulletin - customer reports of hard cold starts and/or poor running when cold. I can't remember the number of the s.b. offhand (something like M-1185-1, as I recall), but it's all there for the dealer to do, and if somebody in the service dept. can read, it's a no-brainer for any '06 bikes that still have the 8* injectors, and H-D picks up the tab. BTW, there is no requirement that the dealer be able to replicate the problem, only customer reports of the problem. Good luck.

That is what I thought as well.. I even took in the HD service Bulletin with me..Described my problem to a T..
I am out of HD factory warranty and now on extended. The bike has always had the cough stall thing when taking off when cold but the missing is new in the last couple of thousand miles.
Dealer contacted HD to see if they would cover it under the now expired factory warranty and they said no "too many miles", "if it was the injectors it would have done it long ago" Then the extended warranty people (HD Extended Warranty)..Said a list of things needed to be checked first. That is when I found out that I would pay for these things if they determine its not the warranty.
At this point I am going to run a few more tanks through it to see if their is any improvement and if not I may take it to another dealer. Not much riding here this time of the year. So it may be spring..

Try Some Chevron Techron. Plain and simple, it works.

I've had very good luck with Seafoam. I also like Marvel Mystery Oil as a preventative measure about every 5th fill up.

Have you had you EFI map checked? Did you change anything in the engine, air cleaner or pipes? Could be your injectors are ok, but the map is not the right one for your bike or somehow got corrupted.

Bike is completley stock... I changed the plugs and decided to run a few more tanks through it with some injector cleaner. The weather has been not good enough to ride. So I dont know if there is any improvement at this point. The 40,000 mile service will be coming up by May or June I may just have the injectors replaced if needed at that time.
