Transmission drive pulley

I am trying to remove the transmission drive pulley. I understand you go clockwise with the threads. I have used a breaker bar, impact wrench and I can not get it loose. Any other suggerstions?
It is a 94 low rider.

The 6 speed in the 09 & 10 trikes I swapped transmission pulleys/sprockets on where removed by loosening them counter clock wise. Even then they are a bitch to loosen up.

You are turning it in the correct direction, clockwise to remove left hand thread nut.

How are you immobilizing the pulley?

You may have to heat the nut a little bit because it's supposed to have a drop of red locktite on it. A propane torch will get it hot enough.

If you have to use a torch on that nut, you should replace the oil seal that goes inside the main drive gear. Some guys go crazy with locktite...

Had to use a 3/4 inch impact once even after the heat.

use map gas to heat up the nut. map gas gets hotter than propane.

A socket wrench with a 6' length of straight exhaust tubing for leverage - works every time.
