I did the Baker transmission kit (DD6) in my 03 hotrod bagger,,it changed the ratios on all of the gears and helped light to light performance A BUNCH !!

You can lower the tooth count on your motor sprocket that is the quickest and easiest way. Each tooth you drop will be about a 3% increase in torque.

my 07 street glide had 66 tooth rear belt sprocket (stock) gearing was 2.79 i was told i could use a 68 tooth sportster sprocket, so i found one on ebay for 50 bucks. installed it (no belt change). gearing is 2.875 close to 3% and i can still add on a 31 tooth andrews trans sprocket for another 3% (with out a belt change). i did the research and it it will work.. yes it will throw off speedo, and the only cure is a factory reflash or (power vision) i got the power vision not cheap, but it worked.. try the rear belt sprocket first, its the cheapest.. you do have to use shorter bolts grade#8 any hardware store.. hope this helped.. (32/66= 2.790 stock) 32/68=2.87 31/68=2.976 (30/66=2.970=belt change+200.00 for belt) (Andrews transmission sprocket 30 or 31tooth about 160.00)

search for 30t trans sprocket on google.

I'm doing mine now on my 08 going to a 30t with a -1 belt. There are other options such as the Evolution Industries 49t primary.

gear change

68 tooth sprocket did what i wanted about 3% i can still go to 6% with an andrews 31 on the tranny side with no belt change. but then i think 6th gear would be to low, and i do a lot of long trip (gas mileage) and i looked into the 49 tooth evolution chain set up and was told (buy them) that 07 and above senses the cruise control at the tranny so you lose cruise control and the 6th gear light. i heard some where on the forum that someone found a 70 tooth rear spocket that fit 07 bagger no belt change. that one i question, but its worth the research. that would be 6%.. if you do find out any thing on the 70 tooth post it... thanks swordfish..

My '05 Roadster 1200 turns about 3k at 70. I see the exported models have a 30 tooth trans sprocket, as opposed to the domestic model's 29. Shouldn't require a belt chg....I'm lookin' to drop about 300rpm (to around 2700) at hiway cruise spd. Anyone ever tried this, and is that a good estimate? And about how far fwd will the rear wheel need to be moved? Anyone.....?
