4 or 5 friction disks
I have a 1953 FL when i see clutch pack kits for 1941 to 1984 they include 5 friction disks and 4 steel disks but the description says 1941 to 1964 used 4 friction disks and 3 steel disks. Now I have been told that the old set of 4 friction and 3 steel was the same size as the new 5 friction and 4 steel (about 1.5+ inches). So I am trying to figure out whether I need to use 4 or 5 friction plates. So anyone know the clutch stack height for a 1953 FL or any other useful information. it is kick only, 4 speed, chain primary, dry clutch.
