3 Neutrals. please help

Seems my 4sp kicker has three neutral positions. I had a friend help me and after we adjusted the shifting forks the neutral is between 3rd and 4th. There seemed to be little wear, no brokern teeth and there were no metal shavings inside. What do I need to do? Thanks

dont get it, was this a tear down rebuild? if so, were forks aligned properly? sounds like your middle fork is in backwards. did you put the locks between the gears? are your forks completely worn? if this wasn't a rebuild and just started, readjust the clutch.

does yours have spacers? I read my 5sp had spacers that need to be the right gap or clearance to lose that false Neutral in 3rd looking for 4th at high revs. Although it was a pretty good adjustment before I changed the bearings out now I seem to find that false Neutral a bit more often so i gotta check it with a gauge to see if tolerance is at spec...Maybe you got the same thing but you are 4speed I know. Point being any new part made a difference to the shift point. Keep us posted
Regards

Thanks for the help. This is a lot of good info for me. I will get with my friend and see if we can figure this out. I will post when I try again.
