you're not going to know till you pop that primary off and look around unfortunately...
Your main bearing is a sleeve on your mainshaft should have about 1/8th max space between the pully and the back of that sleeve. In your clutch hub there is a bearing that may be going or your inner keeper with thrust washer found under your reverse threaded clutch nut the keeper may have come unzipped? Hard to say till you get in there. Clutch comes off as a whole basket so do not worry about any special tools to check it maybe a puller as the splines get sticky and sometimes need a good constant pressure of pulling to get it to slide off the shaft. Check the bearing play should be slim to nill. If your bearing is pushed up against your pully only a dremmel to get that off. Not sure of your year and any difference as my EVO 91 though? I doubt tranny though and you did check the tranny fluid level I am sure.

Cracked into the primary today..... everything looks good
No play side to side on the basket ? or in and out
could'nt realy see the hub bearing
Maybe i should just change out the whole clutch hub and basket ?
Thank's for your reply

if the bike is running and no metal and it shifts I would ride it.
