Shift Shaft Seal

07 EGC can you replace the seal behind the splined lever that clamps to the transmission right in the bike without disassembling the trans ?

Oh the dreaded shift shaft seal. No, i have tried to but you cant replace that seal without pulling the primary off. If you do replace it, i recomend a cometic or CR brand from jp cycles. They are solid rubber douple lipped and seal much better longer. Buy a few though as they are tight to get on there.

You do not have to disassemble the transmission, but, as TX said, you must pull the primary covers.
