Ultima six speed Woes....

Just installed Ultima six speed and have run into a few issues.

1) Speedometer not working. The transmission is in and works properly the spped sensor is in the original speedo hole(the one on the tranny case). Should I be using the speedo sensor hole on the Ultima trap door?


2) Neutral switch working incorrectly. When the bike is in gear...the neutral light comes on...when the bike is in neutral the light goes out. Any Idea how to fix this??

Did you use the speed sensor that Ultima gave you with the tranny?
Gotta use that one and do a little re-wire.
Yes, use the Ultima trap door.
Same thing happened to me.
Instead of having a NO switch, you need a NC switch.
That's why the neutral is back asswards.

did not get a sppedo sensor with ultima kit. Where would I get one of those...when i look at the Ultima site they only sell to suppliers not individuals....would you also have a part number for it?

as for the neutral switch...I used the one that came with the kit...it was already installed in the cover. would the stock harley one work or would I have to go buy another one...if so would you have part number fo that too??

Jirehcycles, is essentially mid-west which is Ultima. So I would imagine you could get the switch from them. If you do, you should post it, I eventually need to put a speedo on my scoot. Well, maybe.

I used the stock speedo sensor in the trapdoor slot...not the transmission case slot

as far as ther neutral switch...I had to get another one...I dont have the part number on me right now...but you can find it if you do a search on the forums for it
