Help getting the sprocket spacer off!!

I am doing a chain conversion on my 90 FXR. The stock transmission pulley spacer is too short for the replacement sprocket...(the splines stick out too far on the mainshaft when the sprocket is on). The spacer is loctited on there with the red stuff...what is the easiest/safest way to remove the spacer?? Or does any one know where I can get a 1/8" spacer to add to the existing one on there?

Thought about that...but then...fire with all the gear oil right there??!! I did have to use my mapp gas to remove the pulley nut and the pulley..they were both red loctited all to hell, but the seal was still there to isolate the gear oil in the tranny. It is no longer there...
