Rivera Pro Clutch w/TPP

Just bought the Rivera Pro Clutch with the TPP. Want to know if anyone uses this set up, and if this is a better set up than the regular Rivera Pro Clutch. I talked with a builder/racer about using this clutch (Pro Clutch w/TPP) and he said that he would not use it. He recommends just the Rivera Pro Clutch. He says the TPP has more parts that you don't need to have break and also at low torque it may cause the plates to slip, since the TPP would not apply enough pressure to the plates at low end torque. He has always just used the Regular Rivera Pro Clutch on his builds. Any other thoughts on these clutches.

How much power are you trying to control?

Been running one for over a year now. I initially had problems with the proclutch slipping on the dyno down low in the RPM range.. It was very minor, but did slip just a bit. I have added the TPP on top and all has been good so far. Seat of pants felt crisper, but will be on the drum again next month and i will know for sure.

When i spoke to Rivera, they highly recommended it. They said it would take more power than almost any street bike puts out to make it slip.

PR3 I really don't know yet. I'm still doing my build, but I know its going to be a lot more than stock.

I have one on my 131" motor and it works great... No slippage...

I had the regular Pro Clutch and added TPP... Per John's (Rivera) advice... I also have the Rivera 66 tooth ring gear, 9 tooth pinion gear and Rivera Brute III Extreme Enclosed Primary Belt Drive...

wanted to bring this thread back to life to pass along my first impressions of the TPP on a pro clutch. When I had the bike dyno'd last year @ R&R and they added a Gold comp spring to my pro clutch. I had no problem with the extra effort but I could never get the clutch dialed in. It would always drag when it got hot etc. So I pulled the pro clutch out and replaced the clutch pack and went with a silver spring with the TPP. Huge difference as the clutch pulls in at low rpm as you would expect from a Rivera but it really locks up when you get get on it. I can actually find nuetral without the normal hunt and peck of the pasr. A highly recommended upgrade.
