Clutch adj issues

I installed the Diamond Back clutch cable and the S/E performance clutch spring on my 07 Ultra and adjusted everything per service manual. It will drag now, ie want to move forward when in gear and clutch lever pulled all the way in and the clutch engages almost imediately when i let off the lever. I adjusted several times but still have the same prob. I cant even roll the bike backwards when in gear and the lever pulled in cause there is too much drag. If i take all the slack out at the lever then it acts normally and engages about 1/4 to 1/3 off the grip. What the heck am I doing wrong. I know it says you are supposed to have 1/16 to 1/8 slack but currently it wont act right unless there is none. The cable is not binding but clutch action is a bit stiffer i assume due to the heavy duty spring...Help.......

Wish I could answer your question directly. Here's the next best thing... Do a search. There is a ton of advice on the suject. It sounds like your problem is getting the adjustment correct down at the bottom end of the cable. Properly seating the ball & ramp and then getting the lock nut set up correctly has everything to do with the final outcome. Best of luck...

X52gnr, How have your problem come out? I was wondering cause I notice my clutch feels the same way. I also have felt the drag while trying to push my bike with the cluch engage and in gear, but I always thought that the way it was even before I change to Chromite cables.
I never have adjust my cluch pak cause I did'nt think it was nessasary, well now I think maybe it would help.
