Ultima six speed question

I am going to install an Ultima Six speed in a 94 FatBoy. Right now I am running a Dakota digital speedometer with a Dakota Digital speed sensor, mounted on the rear of the speedometer head, and using the stock cable to drive it off the front wheel. I want to get rid of the cable. I have read somewhere, that if you use the stock Harley speed sensor in the transmission, that you need to use a shim to raise it a bit when you install it in an Ultima. Is this true? Is this because the six speed has a larger gear in the case? Where do you get this shim? Who on here has installed an Ultima and used the speed sensor? Thanks, SnailTraX

Spacer

Where do you get a spacer? How thick? I am using an Ultima six speed and stock Harley speed sensor. SnailTraX
