My 08 FXD's 6th gear indicator occasionally comes on in 2nd gear for some reason, but it only stays on for a second or so. It also comes on sometimes when I am coasting down with the clutch pulled in. Sounds like I need to check some connections and have HD check out the sender while its still under warranty.

No problems with mine.

Take it to the dealer and have it fixed...probably a simple fix.

The light is controlled by the speed and RPM, so maybe you were coasting with the clutch in and it just hit the right combination to turn on the light.

It could happen.
