Clutch not engaging?
My 95 Softail Springer won't move except the slightest little bit when I put it in gear. It's as though a five-year-old is pushing it. I can roll it backwards in first, and It definitely won't go up even a slight incline.
The bike recently took a fall due to the suspension bottoming out after the previous owner lowered it 2 inches to accommodate his short stature. I'm a big guy, so the back portion of the frame touched the ground while I was going around a corner very slowly, and down I went. I've since readjusted the suspension to stock. The bike did hit the ground on the clutch side of the bars and chipped a piece of the clutch mount bracket on the bars off, which tells me the clutch level might have been depressed hard by the fall or something of this nature.
It doesn't make any odd sounds. The motor runs great, and it shifts through all the gears just fine. It's just that no energy seems to be making it to the wheel.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for looking at my thread.
