I haven't use the product but on another forum read quit a bit about them. I was thinking of getting 3m for my new scoot. They come precut in 3 pieces for the fairing or you can save some cash and buy a roll which would involve making a pattern and cutting to fit. you might try doing a search on google using "3m hd forum".
good luck, ride safe and sober.

Well they are clear...not necessarily 'invisible'. I would think cutting your own patter might be a bit tricky, especially with all the curves to deal with.
Stuff is similar to what they use on the newer HD rear fenders (under the pass. seat) and that little area on the side covers of touring bikes.

I had the stuff on my car and it works great, but it is not invisable, especially on
certain colors. Our car was a medium metalic blue and not visable until you got
within 5 feet. The film has a slight orangepeel look. Not bad, but it is there if you
look. I really does what it is suppose to do. After 3 years there were no rock chips
but just past the line on the hood it had a few chips.
I hope this helps.

I have a bulk roll that I bought off Ebay. It's great stuff and is 'nearly' invisible from more than a foot away if you keep wax residue out of the edges of it. One big caveat though; this stuff is very tricky to install. If you are thinking about putting it on a surface that has compound curves, you are in for a very rough time. Even something seemingly as simple as the top surface of the rear fender can be a major PITA. I wouldn't even consider trying to install it on a fairing front by myself. Let a pro do it. Saddlebag lids and front surfaces would be pretty easy.
Just my 2 cents.

When installing....does it say to mist the substrate with soapy water so you can move it around a bit and get it into place? Or leave it in the sunlight to make it softer and more pliable?
Those are some things that can help on the install....

The recommendation is a 25% alcohol / 75% water mix. Allows for the film to be moved then evaps quickly without soapy film.
Love the clear bra. Had it on my Bike in 2005 when I rode it to Alaska, when I return I pulled it off. Clear bra was slightly damaged, bike looked new, NO damage.

I just want to state for the record that I for one am in favor of clear bra's, mostly on 18-24 year old gals.
