Are you using PREMIUM Fuel?

I was just about to roll out my 08 EG Classic last week when the salesman said to use ONLY premium fuel. Well, that makes since, however my dream of saving on fuel prices with the better milage than my cage went out the window. The manual suggest 91 octane.

I want to keep my scoot in top notch. What do you say?

Thanks

My 06 Ultra calls for 93. Glad the tank only holds 5 Gals. I rather do that than to put 87 in my 20 Gals F150.

Only High Test if it is available. Not available, then enough to get to where is is..

I agree. Won't go low to save money and ruin the engine. How about a mid grade occasionally?

08 Ultra. Before that an 06 Road Glide

I always run premium unless I can't get it. Then I'll take whatever I can get until the next fill.

No question about it then. If you want to play, then you got to pay. I can live with that.

Thanks everyone for your reply

91 or better.

I do have to eat Ramin noodles all week to afford to ride !!!!!!!!

6 gallons times .25 cents extra, shouldn't break the bank.

Higher compression + Sunoco 94 = NO Pinging
I add octane booster if I'm stuck with 91.

I use mid grade (89) with no change in performance. Just like the manual recommends HD only oil. As long as it doesn't ping your good, JMO.

I run it in the SHO Taurus too. It makes a difference in low speed performance, saves wear & tear on the clutch. No need to rev the engine & ride the clutch to pull away from a stop.

The owners manual recommends premium, so thats what I put in. My old bike's owners manual said 86 octane, so I ran 87 (regular).

Saving money by riding your bike shouldn't matter too much, you just spent $20K on it so its going to take a while to make up the difference.

Just enjoy it!!!

Good luck with the bike!!

Dave
