Ok - here is mine - a terrible pic of it - but oh well - have to work with what I have. It is purple and red. Since this pic was taken - I have changed the handlebars and lowered it another 2 inches. I will post new pic soon - and better one

?????? Unexpectedly ?
My wife is now showing an intrest in riding, and we are talking about a bike for her, or a bigger one for me, but at these prices it won't be unexpected!

I finaly found some pics.
The top pic is of me, my ride, and my bride(the other ride).
The second pic I included just because of the cheesy smile.

Steel Wool and simichrome does wonder on aluminum... Currently doing that to all the aluminum parts on the motor and is making a huge difference! There are difference levels of steel wool so be careful which one you grab.

JDROBINS, My dad found a 1998 Road Glide for $11,000 on ebay. He wanted the faring for his Ultra Classic. The plan was to buy that bike and swap farings and resell the glide. I saw the opportunity to get what I alwas wanted. A road king (through conversion). He gave me $1500 towards the bike for the farings and I footed the rest. This decision was made over a day period. So thats why I called it unexpected. My mom is thinking on riding so I will give her my Sporty. At least it will still be in the family.

Here's my 1989 883 Sporty
I did the Thunderstorm 1200 conversion with T-storm heads, Buell pistons, SE cams, SE ignition, SE coil, SE breather kit, Dyna-jet jet kit, and v&H Pro pipe. She gets 82.3 ponies and 72 lbs of torque. It ain't pretty but man does it rock!
I love it when I make the rice burners give a double take when I roll on throttle.

This is an updated picture of my Sporty from an October posting on this thread. Cycle shack slip ons, stage 1 air cleaner, sissy bar, backrest, and luggage rack have been added. Not shown is a detachable super sport windshield. This picture is taken at Siesta Beach in Sarasota, Florida.

My wife's XL 883 with a chrome oil tank cover and a laid back license plate. More additions to follow but I needed the money for the upgrades to my Fat Boy! I'm just glad to have my wife riding beside me on her 883!

1997 883 Sportster
Mods:
Corbin Seat
Billet Style Shifter Peg
Bullet Style Lights (Not on)
Tear Drop Mirrors (Not on pic)
HD Saddle Bags
Sreamin Eagle Pipes
Plans in April:
Nice chrome front rim
Chrome oil tank
Clean n' shine (Pic was taken a few months back)
Chrome Billet Style Grips
New chrome foot brake
New chrome billet pegs
I am new to the Sportster scene .. I'm looking for a good shop in NVA or Maryland that can do good mods and paint jobs .. I am going to do as many mods myself as I can but I honestly don't have the tools or time to do nearly what I plan.
After spending my weekend crusing towards Richmond and seeing bikes on the road and going to the Chantilly Bike show .. I gotta mod this baby out!
