I have recently started experiencing a shift issue on my 08, whats happing is that when its hot it doesn't want to shift from 2nd to first or 1st to anything. This only happens after I have been riding a lot in stop-go traffic. The bike has only 3300 miles on it, This happened just the other day we had 99F weather and I was riding home only a 13 mile drive, I started down shifting to stop at a light, i got to first ok but I could not get it into neutral, it has happened other times where it would not leave neutral. It only seems to be the lower gears and only when its hot. I took it to the dealer and they oiled the shifter
but couldn't find any problems when they test drove it. any ideas what this might be ? The clutch seems well adjusted although shifting into any gear has a pretty deep THUNK. any insight would be appreciated. as far as the dealer goes they wont do anything unless I they can reproduce the problem, which obviously they cant since they take it fr a 5 minute drive when its cold.
