5 speed buell in '88 4 speed frame

Have a '99 buell cyclone engine that I'd like to put in a '88 xl.
I see aftermarket frames advertised as fitting 86-03.Would that be different with Harley frames?

Thanks for the replies

The Buell was an easy fix,so I'm going to ride it the way it is,at least as long as its warm weather.
One thing that makes me hesitant about doing it is that one guy told me his vibrated so bad that he had a mirror explode. Can't help but wonder, was it just his bike,or is that common with Buell powered Sportsters?
