Question Sportster jetting

I have 2003 sportster 1200. I have Screaming Eagle mufflers and K&N air filter in custom tear drop aircleaner.

The carb has a 45 pilot and 170 main jet. I keep reading where alot of people have 175 or 180 mains in. My plugs are dry and very light tan and except for a very few carb farts coming off idle it runs good.

Any reason, Power gain etc, I should change Main jet to 175 or higher?

Hi

I will suggest that you turn the Pilot screw 1/4 Counter clockwise ( makes
idle and partial throttle a bit richer )

Let the main jet as it is

for more information look at
