From what I have read the Stage 1 seems like a good idea for my Sportster 883.
Does anyone know the approximate price for the dealer to perform the Stage 1?
Also, from your experience, what mufflers and air cleaner work best and what did you actually get performance wise?
The best exhaust for you bike are on it already. I've worked alot with sporties and the best results I've seen aside from the really expensive 2-1s are the stock mufflers with the baffles completely removed (1 3/4" hole saw). I've seen 90+ HP with cams and buell heads on 1200s. The SE air cleaner is good enough but the Force is better. Also the stock ignition module has a very lazy curve so consider that as an upgrade, but if you plan to go 1200 someday then get the SE 1200 module now.
