Question about 883 to 1200 upgrade

I'm looking for information regarding the cost of the 883 to 1200 upgrade on my '04 XL883C. I looked through the '05 Catalog, but can't find an idea of what all is involved, or the pricing. Can anybody help?

Also, I'd like to chrome the cylinders and rocker boxes out when the work is done. I see the rocker box pricing in the catalog, but can't find what it would cost to get the cylinders replaced.

Can anybody help? Thanks!

Jeff

Most Harley Dealers run a special in the winter on the 883 to 1200 conversion any where from $450.00 to $650.00, some might be a tad more. So ask your dealer. What I do is add the cost of a 1200 S/E ign mod on this price. Since you have a 04 you should remap your ign with the race tuner for carb bikes.
As far as chroming your cylinders....your on your own. Are you going to ride this bike? If you are chrome cylinders won't let you ride it very far.

A lot of new bikes have the engines in chrome and black, that is what I meant to say. I'm looking for that look for my bike's engine.

I think I want the silver heads actually I downloaded the SE catalog, but couldn't fit what all I need for the upgrade. Perhaps I'll just call around to the five dealers in the area, and see what they quote me for the upgrade, and leave the figuring to them. I've heard that a number of deals have specials on the upgrades in the winter, to keep them busy.
