I bought my sporty 883 a little while ago. It had already had a stage1 with screamin' eagle pipes on it. They were really quiet, and I would like my bike to be louder. So I ordered some V&H straightshot slip-ons. Should I have by bike rejetted because it's carbed? Or should it be fine because I just put the slip-ons on?
When you do the pipe swap, see how it reacts.
If it coughs or sneezes, then that would be an indicator of a lean condition, and the pilot jet would be the first to be addressed.
Also, take a peak at the plugs to monitor the color/burn/timing.
