I have screaming eagle heads on a 2004 883 converted to 1200 with high compression pistons. Does anyone know who can machine in compression releases for the screaming eagle heads?
the 883 heads worked would have been a better choice, but any machinist can install the comp releases. use blue tops to keep from burning your fingers.
I agree but I bought the bike with heads. I called a couple of places but they need a special tool and they did not have it for the sceaming eagle heads.
it will be ok. call automotive machine shops in your area. your biggest concern should be why you need comp releases and dont have em! the prior builder misssed his mark.
Does your shop do that? What other type of performance improvements can be done to the heads? From what I understand they are basically the same as stock heads.
blotz, hillside can correct those heads, really wake that motor up, and install your comp relesase. he has been doing performance HD work since i ran iron head sporties.
