N00b question

So, my Nightster is the first EFI'd vehicle I've fooled around with, either on 2 or 4 wheels...I have gathered that when I slap some ShortShots on there, I have to get the ECU re-flashed...correct? Where would I go to do this? How much can I expect to pay? Is it the same story when I upgrade the air filter?

Second, does this kind of shenanigans void my warrantee? I've heard conflicting stories that HD is either really strict with their warrantees or that there's no such thing as a stock Harley, so they don't much care if you mod...?

EDIT: Mods, thanks for putting it in the proper forum. Thought I was putting it in here and I didn't!

You have to remap the fuel system. Map is Manifold Absolute Pressure. Anyhow it is a simple down load to the ECU. You can do this by taking it to the dealer and let them do a one time download a I did or buy SERT Screaming Eagle Race Tuner or go with aftermarket such as vance and hines fuel pack. Fuel pack is not a down load but and enhansement. You add this to the ECU, if you disconnect it ever then the factory program is not disturbed.
