Go get a copy of Ride Texas (http://www.texmoto.com/) at your local book store. They have great lists of great rides.

I like the texas hill country for a fun weekend. Just did that this past weekend. Stayed at the D rose Inn (http://www.droseinn.com/) which caters to motorcyclists. Great places to eat around there. Check out the Steel Horse Cafe (http://users2.ev1.net/~robertl25/sr/reviews/steelhorse.htm) in nearby Tarpley and the Lost Maples Inn in Utopia (http://www.cellartastings.com/en/restaurant-guide/tx/utopia/lost-maples-cafe/996104365.html) and the Neals Lodges Cafe in nearby Concan (http://www.nealslodges.com/cafe.htm).

You could spend days riding the great roads all around that area. Just pull out the map and connect Bandera, to Utopia, to Concan, to Leakey to Kerrville and you got some great riding and a fun weekend. Enjoy.

4 days is plenty of time to get ride in to Big Bend. Stop in Llano on way out & eat at Cooper's BBQ. Head to Del Rio, then out Hwy. 90 & stop at Pecos River (great picture moment). While heading west on 90, stop & see Judge Bean's in Langtry (great picture moment). When you reach Marathon, head south on 385 to Big Bend. Ride through Big Bend & stay in Study Butte-Terlingua (Hwy. 118@170). Good place to stay while you ride Big Bend & go to Terlingua (Ghost Town) & eat/drink/music at Starlight Theatre (many good picture moments). LaJitas to watch the mayor drink beer. On the way back go to Davis Mountains & ride the loop around & check out the observatory (more good picture moments). To Balmorhea & head home. Full 4 days, but will be a blast. :chopper:

dock i just left the fort hood area...check this out and make sure you do it!!! head east out of killeen on 190 going to temple, hop on 35 for about 5 miles and take the FM93 exit. i can't remember the exit number. take FM 93 east for about 10 miles, you'll be looking for FM 95. JUST BEFORE YOU GET TO FM 95 LOOK LEFT.....lol. you'll see a sign for The Dog House Bar and Grill. stop in and tell terry, garry, bunny and lisa that hot rod said hi. if you go there on saturday before noon they usually pull out for a good ride. they never know where there going till they get there. lots of stops to have a smoke and a cold drink.
here's a link to it on google maps http://maps.google.com/maps?q=temple+texas&ll=31.047051,-97.381783&spn=0.078521,0.183952&hl=en
