Passing this along from the LSR office...
We are in the process of temporarily relocating our offices as we had roof
and water damage at our offices HOWEVER, we are not quitters and plan on
moving ahead. (Read the attached email. I know it is kind of generic but
it covers all the issues.)
The hotels and motels will make every effort to be ready to go and we are
going to do the same. This event means too much to Galveston and we are
going to bust BUTT to make it happen. I will be calling each vendor
PERSONALLY to reassure them that we are moving ahead and will keep them
posted. Be sure to check our website (
www.lonestarrally.com) where we
will post updates and information as we get it. Give us about another
week and we will be holding a press conference on the island and hope to
be able to take advantage of the media who are present on the island to
get the word out. There is a lot of "unsubstantiated information" out
there and don't believe everything you hear. We are made of strong stock
and do not give up easily SOOOOOO! ! !
We have every intention of continuing with the Lone Star Rally as planned. We are staying in close contact with City Officials in Galvestion and they are urging us to move forward. The Mayor and the City Manager of Galveston encouraging us to hold our event because it is even more important now to their citizens and to the city.
This is an opportunity for the motorcycling community to be out in force
to show their support for this great city and it's people who have been
devastated. Motorcycle people are always ready to step-up and help where
it is needed. So, yes we are going to have the rally. Be sure to check
the website periodically for updates and information. We are ready! So
tell EVERYONE that we are not going to allow this horrific event to change
our plans. Be sure to keep in touch, email us with any questions and we
appreciate SO MUCH all of your support.
