What to see and do in Tucson?

Plan on being in Tucson the last week of October. Would appreciate any info on what to see and do.

Ride north 100 miles to the Apache Trail and the Superstition Mountains for some great riding. There are also some desolate roads west of Nogales (sp?) that are a nice ride but you run into illegals and drug runners crossing so it can be dicey. It's kinda fun though, in addition to the crossers you sometimes have military, lots of border patrol agents zipping around in Hummers and looney DEA guys. Lots of good hiking in the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson and the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson. Tucson itself? Lots of traffic and little to do. . . . Have fun, but get outa town.

Go to Summer Haven on top of Mt Lemon right there outside Tuscon. You can see it from everywhere in Tuscon. I did that ride about a month ago. Take warm cloths because it gets cold at the top. Watch the tar patches in the road they are slick. Outstanding views so don't go off the road gawking.

There are places at the top for food.

the Kitt Peak observatories are about 50 miles southwest of town. It's a very worthwhile tour.
