AZ Bike Week 2008
This event kicks off March 27th thru April 6th. Anyone coming from out of state? Don't know the area, I can help. Offering guided tours through Arizona just tell me what you want to see or do and I'll show you the way. This is not a pay service just offering my assistance. Only thing is I can't do rides on Tuesdays or Thursdays. For more info. http://www.azbikeweek.com/index.htm

Hey Doc ock...
Sounds too good to be true?? I'm at a medical conference in Tucson till Thursday (4/3) afternoon. Planned to rent a bike and EXPLORE Arizona till I had to fly back to Snow Country on the 7th. Would love to get together...or even just some ideas for good rides in the area, ? How far is Tucson from Scottsdale.....I'm an experianced rider...my ride now is a '05 RoadKing Classic with 35k on her so far...I ride a rental every spring after my annual conference....last 3 yrs. were in FLA....Now some new ground to cover....WildBill

It's about 130 miles up I10, or you could come up the back way, it's just a little longer. There is a good sit to look at for AZ rides. http://www.cyclerides.com/ Goto Mt. Lemon Day Ride and look at the map. There are 3 possible ways to make it towards Scottsdale depending on how long you want to ride. http://www.cyclerides.com/rides/dayr...monridemap.htm

The ride up 77 is really nice. Anything is better than I-10 unless you like 75mph+ with 18 wheelers passing you. Can't see much of AZ that way and it's worth it to always take the long way off the freeways.

Thanks Guys...Looks like some good riding...I prefer the "Scenic Route"...You can see the 4 lanes anywhere (except this far north, we only got 2 lanes >;-)
Once I leave the conference I plan on riding till tired and then find a motel...crash and get up and do it again till it's time to fly home...Hoping to put a lot of miles on the rental :-) Give me a chance to get back into riding after snowmobile season...and MUD SEASON....Wildbill

Hey Detailer
The 18yo Daughter, and friend are tagging along for the Conference till Friday, after that I'm free to meet, and cruise the Big state of Az....No set plans once I get the girls on the plane :-) Open to anything so long as I get myself on the plane Monday...............................Wildbill
