We are leaving Charlotte the 27th of April heading to the AZ hog rally in Tucson via the southern route. After the rally we want to ride up to Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon.

It the weather up in the northern part of the state warming up by the first week of May? We will be camping the whole trip. In Tuscon it should be hot, but the mountains are unpredictable at best. Thanks?

I am at 6000 ft in Northern Arizona. It is currently getting to 65-70 degrees in the day with lows in the 40's. Since it is only March we can still get snow but it only sticks around for a short while. By May it will be perfect riding weather. Still can get cool at night, but as long as we don't have fire restrictions a bon fire at night is a beautiful thing. I would predict based on the moisture we received this winter that fire restrictions won't be imposed until after the memorial day weekend.

OH! Did I mention some of the nicest rides in the state are in the northern part of the state. You'll love it.

Thanks for the info, this is turning into a yearly thing for us. Get stung by the AZ bug once you can't stop going back. Maybe I will find a nice lot up there this time. We hit the road in about a month and cant wait. Thanks again for the weather info!

If you get to Strawberry, stop by the shop. We are directly behind the Mogollon Steak House on Ralls Drive. About a block off the main Highway 87. Or stop by the bars and ask for directions to Gila County Chopper.
