South Florida residents - need advice..
I will most likely be relocating from NY to Miami, FL in roughly 3 months. I currently own 2 bikes. An 07 softail and an 09 street glide. I was considering selling the softail up here in NY due to the fact that the street glide is so much more practical w/ the fairing and all the wind protection on cooler rides.
Now, w/ this relocation im wondering which bike to keep.
Would i enjoy the softail more in the warmer climate over the street glide?
I'm going to sell one of them, but, not sure which one.
Thanks.

This is a no brainer, your Street Glide is a 2009,you just bought it; why would you sell it???? Keep the glide, it's one of the hottest bikes HD makes!!!Sell the Softtail!!!Good luck on your move to FL. NYC sucks!!!!especially with Bloomberg at the helm!!!

THanks.
The softail is pretty much new also though.
im just thinking w/ the heat down there the street glide may not be as enjoyable to ride as the softail??????

Not the heat from the bike. The climate.
The street glide is nice up here because of cooler nights, and cooler riding days in the spring in fall.
down there there arent many cool days in comparison. is the fairing blocking the wind going to be something i want.

merc, its actually hotter here than miami, even hotter back home in louisiana. we just know how to fix the engine heat!! i would keep the bagger, you will need it to get out of miami area as often as you can. we ride that way at times for events and such, jst flat, boring rides. you will want to head north to the mountains, or come up this way and its a long haul---------Bagger wins!

Really? are baggers a hotter item down there?
i guess im picturing the area wrong. I thinking it would be more a hot rod bike type area. Its been a while since ive been down there though.

I would say keep the Softail for the bar hopping scene. However, these guys have a point on the traveling issue. Personally being from Florida I think you would pull more chicks on the softail unless your looking for old chicks..lol. Hell I would keep both unless it was absolutely necessary to sell one.
