As I usually do, I have an extra condo that is available for rent during the Spring Rally. Its in Surfside Beach. Quiet location. Trailer parking available. Very nice 2 bedroom, full kitchen, 2 bath. The Presidential at Plantation Resorts. May 9th - 16th. Entire week for $885.

Yes, there is still a rally for 2009. The city of Myrtle Beach is coming up with these stupid rules. The city of Myrtle Beach only makes up a very small portion (4 miles) of the 65 mile long Grand Strand. Surfside Beach, where the other poster's condo is, is NOT in Myrtle Beach. Here is a copy of an email that is going out to all our freinds and out-of-towners. Please share it with your friends. Ride safe and see you in May.

Myrtle beach has launched a new website to deter people from coming to the grand strand during the bike rally in May. The website is mbbikerinfo.com . DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU READ ON THIS SITE. MOST OF THE INFO IS FALSE. THERE WILL BE A SPRING RALLY IN MAY 2009 HERE ON THE GRAND STRAND. There will be no activities sponsored by myrtle beach in the city limits. The city limits never had a lot of sponsored activities going on. The majority of bike week events take place out side the city. There will be plenty of activities going on within Horry county as normal. Nothing has changed. THE SPRING RALLY WILL BE MAY 8th - 17th 2009. If you want current and up to date and correct info on the rally, please check out one of the following sites.www.myrtlebeachharley.com www.mbbikeweeks.com www.ibiker.org These sites will provide you with truthful information about the rally. You will also find truthful information about the new myrtle beach city ordinances that only come in to effect within the city limits of myrtle beach. Listen to the Geezer. I rode thru Myrtle Beach today and it is dead. Sure it's off season, but I live just outside the beach and it's never been this slow. There are plenty of twisties to get around MB that are a ball to ride. Most of the roads are in great shape so you won't get beat. Good times to be had. Murrells Inlet is a GREAT place to ride and we are welcome. Surfside Beach, Little River, even Conway would welcome us. C'mon down.
