40 Degrees... And Still Going

Hey all, I just wanted to let the rest of you know... If you're tired of getting funny looks for riding in the cold temperatures where you live... WELL THEN come on down lol. Here in beautiful Oxford Alabama we ride year round! 40 some odd degrees this morning and still saw 9 people on their bikes... AWESOME. It doesn't matter, RAIN, COLD, COLD RAIN... WE RIDE. Just thought you might like to hear that there are still some people who quite literally LIVE TO RIDE. How's your town?

44 degrees when I left out of West Georgia Saturday morning for a ride to Atlanta Dragway for a charity event(3 hours away), same conditions on the way home after the sun went down...

Pretty much ride all year in the metro Atl. as long as there is no ice on the roads. Rode in the snow last year, that was fun.

Can you believe that last week I rode to work with frost on the ground? I think it was a record low.
BTW...I'm in FLORIDA!

I live in Northern Mich and get people saying stupid stuff all the time, like isn't it a bit cold to be riding LOL

I respond with, do you snowmobile or ice fish or ski? which they usually respond yes. Then I ask them whats the difference. Were on dry roads, your on ice and snow either way its cold out. So what

Wildey You got it right . Till the roads freeze or the salt/choride is in place ride. Besides i like it when someone says (what you do'n ride'n in weather like this).

Mikevr007, Nothing like adding the moisture to cold weather to make it bit hard. I grew up in the sw fl where the gators really bit. I remeber back in the 70's on ponds in our airboat camps off gator ally would ice over and the cages on the boats would ice also . Thats why all them orange groves moved south some more. It use to freeze hard ,but not in a while down in s.fl. Coldest i ever been was a ride to palatka for an over nighter and was around a high in the upper 20's for several hours getting there. Next morning all the bikes were froze over from a damp cold front. Hell get'n 6 hours south with that cold and under dressed 20 years ago.Thank gosh for stupid .
