Question Biketoberfest

Me and my sexy bride are flying down for the week of Biketoberfest for our honeymoon. A friend is hauling my bike down on Wednesday.

Being our first time in Daytona, what are the sights we should not miss? Also, any places to stay away from?

Try and ride up A1A to Flagler Beach, if you like riding along the ocean for great views

Make the bike event a one day thang, Fist time? Its only a three day event so walk main street, go to iron horse and other vender sites around there place, visit the gaint hd dealer north of the horse and j&p's, and every thing else thats up there. Check the magazines before the event and it will have the what & where section. Or Stay near the room and enjoy the beach. When that is done, pack the bike and go see the state. Unless your in to party'n just hit the high points and enjoy. Check out ST. Auguststine and see the old town and fort.Ride south ,check out Cape Canaveral. Make the loop of Lake okeechobee. Get a visitors guide from the state . Unless your a party animal the events get old pretty quick. If your down around New Smyna Beach there is a great place for dinner south of town on the beach road ,JB's fish camp and in the NS area is sputnicks, west on h-44 follow the riders. Biketoberfeast ain't what it was in the past. Places to stay away from?? Orlando i-4 and I-95The orlando dealer has been throw'n some good parties to in the past. I am going this year but am just riden the state to see some of what i have forgot'n.

Save this link. As it gets closer to Biketoberfest, they will have events posted on there. The wife and I will be there again this year - her first on her own scooter.

Yeah, Doc is the man. He did the build on the Springer as well as the tune. It runs great.

I'm riding down from Ohio for the fun and staying the whole time. I guess I'm a party animal.

I can't wait to get away from work for a few days. I always like the event even though it gets smaller every year.

First off, congrats on tying the knot!! Nothing like the old ball and chain to make a Married Man out of ya.

Anyway places and things to do: Main Street - better to ride and park than try to parade your new bride on the back of your scoot -lots of stop and go, and the Harley will definitely get hot. Froggy's is cool, and there's no going to Daytona without a visit to the Boot Hill Saloon.

Iron Horse Saloon - the best fun at Biketoberfest/Bike Week next to the cole slaw and/or chocolate pudding wrestling. Use the wrestling to test whether your new bride is gonna be a good biker wife....if she complains, well, you get the idea.

No places to stay out of during bike weeks....Just don't piss off any 1%s, and keep your guard up riding at night. Lots of good folks get too much alcohol in them and loose their common sense judgment. The result ain't pretty.

Have fun!!

Go for a ride northbound on A1A to St. Augustine. Great view of the ocean. Also the ride south on A1A to Ponce lighthouse is nice too. The Speedway (Nascar) is a must as is Destination Daytona. Much to do so ride, park, walk, ride, park, walk etc.
