Dry Counties
Can some of you local N.C. and Tenn. Bikers give me a run down on which are counties dry.
Just got back from the Smokies and could not find many places that sold beer WTF!!!

It's called the "Bible belt" for a reason. They just passed a "liquor by the drink" in Asheboro, NC recently. I think the largest area of dry counties is in Southwest NC, right where you were riding. I moved here from Wisconsin, talk about culture shock. It seems to be getting better though.

There are a few wey spots around, off I-26 there is red dot area, And in sprues pine there are 2 motels that sell beerand the LSD area, no not drugs , Little Stitzerland Downtown, but ,wine , and a great motle thats bike friendly. There's many more going north off the BR. This is a great place to get kill'd if any residuall's hang'n around . also plenty of shine still made . Just don't beer and ride.Still remember my young dumb ass day's.

I rode through those areas last month and here's what I did. If you see a liquor/wine store or gas up and they sell beer ... stock up.
By the time you stop for the night and ask for the nearest beer store, they would direct you to the last town you gassed up.

It's occurs all over the south, including MS, AL, LA, TX, AR. You just have to plan ahead.

No kidding. I first experienced a dry town in southern Utah. I thought the lady was full of it when she told me the town was dry. Blew my mind!
I won't even get into 3.2 beer.

You can alway by shine from some good ole local boy. Ask around ,i live in a dry county and two north of me are dry but there are county line places that sell . Must its 20 minutes away. I stopped drinking when i started riden, Its more fun to watch the stupids any more just ride in the rear.
