Who here has used these inserts and has anyone bought the ebay ones?

What is a quick release bag system, and where do you find them. I've got a 04 Heritage

that would be ghost brackets, bubba's quick release, easy brackets, etc. This allows quick removal of your bags. Consists of some type of pegs on your fender rail and possibly a bracket on the back of the saddlebag allowing you to just lift off the bag from the pegs.

I have a '97 FLSTC and love it. Haven't done alot to it:
Screaming Eagle exhaust
Chrome switch housing and switches
luggage rack
front fender bumper
Headlight and signal visors
passenger floorboards
re-jetted the carb
The Heritage is the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden.
Here's a pic:

I like the look without the passenger seat and sissy bar. still thinking about the low profile seat.

Here is a little different look. I've had my Heritage since I bought it new in '91.
It's in the process of a new paintjob as we speak. I've also been collecting a box of new/different parts to throw on after the paintjob. So even after 14 years, it never stops. There is always something to change.

Oops, my photo was too large. I had to lower the resolution. Let's try this again.

This is good, renewing the bike here and there helps it continually feel new, in a way.

Well, this post is a bit off topic, but I might be finally selling my old sportster! Its an 00' xlh-883. I may be selling it to a co-worker...he got me down to my bottom price but its still a fair price for that bike....5,000. I wasn't going to squable over a few hundred bucks it was a fair price according to Kelly Blue book. Its not official yet but pretty close to being a done deal...What do y'all think?
Anyhow, I lived that sporty but it doesn't matter becuase I LOVE MY HERITAGE alot more!!! Much more comfy and better riding! I just had to add that because this is a Heritage owners discussion...and it will help my sell that good ol' bike with all those great memories! Heck, if it wern't for that bike I wouldn't have met my wife...lots a great times we had on that bike. I guess its a sentamental thing too to sell that bike.

Kuryakyn Cruise Arms
anyone have a picture of their bike with Kuryakyn Cruise Arms on it or any feedback on them? I'm thinking of installing a set this weekend.

I have Cruise Arms on my 04 Heritage and love um. Easy installation, maybe 30 mins.
Here is a link after my handle bars were installed.

Hope this helps...

Too soon to trade up?
First off, Thanks to this forum. The information and its members are fantastic.
I currently own a 2003 1200c Sportster Anniversary silver/black. This is my first bike and I have been riding for about a year and a half. I opted for the sporty because of budget, size, and being a beginner. Although my dream was always to own a Heritage. I have been giving serious thought to trading up already, but don't want to jump the gun and move "up" too soon. I guess my question to the forum is some history on the progression of bikes others have owned here. Thoughts on moving on to a Heritage after only getting a year and a half out of my sporty....
Thoughts, comments, rants. welcome
Thanks,
T.J.

Do it! It helps the economy.
Actually, Over Thanksgiving I traded in an '04 Deuce that I had for 14 months. The Deuce was a nice bike, but just couldn't get comforatable on longer rides. Plus, this damn '05 Heritage came along and knocked me on my ass. I've never looked back.
