ontario,
Elsewhere in the Softail threads you'll hear(?) members rave about the Mustang brand seats.
I can't confirm these statements, but, I've been tempted to replace the two stock seats-Badlander for me/ST std for her with the wider rear passenger pillion-which I use alternately on my '06 Night Train.
Only place and time I get tender is where the rear seam of my jeans tends to pressure my lower tailbone after around 300-400 miles.
 Hope this helps

How old is your seat? Usually Corbins need some use before they start to soft'n up and get to were comfort is comfort. I've got the Corbin gunfighter with backrest and that's the most comfortable seat I've used. I test rode a Mustang and I love my Corbin better. It's all in personal perference, so just sharing my story.

Your welcome! What kind of handlebars do you have on that ride. I like those!

Carrie-
UR welcome...
Always something new.. in colors.. WOW!!!
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I like chrome rims & stainless FAT spokes..
But my Old Fattie is still wearing (vintage) Mirage 'Ultra-Lites' from Sturgis Wheel Co. bout 10 yrs now..Not sure they even make em any more ?? But that's ok, mine are still doing well..
Plus the lite weight lowers rotating mass giving me a lil xtra edge outta the hole !!!
I also prefer wider rims, I use 3.5" wide rims instead of the standard 3"
It really balloons up my 130 Avons, they look like 140's at least. And just clear my belt.. Very noticable difference..
If I ever have to replace 'em, I will have Fat Daddy stainless spokes (straight laced)... on chrome 3.5" rims & WWWalls..

forward controls?
I got some new boots today with peg grooves on the bottoms and heels - are there forward controls available for 07 faboy? I'm thinking I'd rather have recliner positioned pegs instead of the floor boards - might even corner harder without throwing sparks - anyone done it? got pics? how do you like it?

Is there a difference in frame dimensions under seat between 2004 and Pre-2000 Fatboy
I'm installing a solo seat on my fatboy and need to cover the battery relay pack and top of oil tank. I have found a nice chrome cover for pre-2000 softtails but not for my 04. The only difference I know of is the ignition pack mounted in the fender. Will this cover bolt up to my 04? I am relocating the ignition module since I changed out my fender anyway. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

That's what i did to the passenger seat. I sent the original back seat to a guy who customizes seats and, using the original structure of the back seat, inserted a new foan and new syntetic leather. The result you can see in the photo. Buy the way, Ontario, my bike is also a 2000 Fat. It is my first Harley and there is a sound that comes from the engine, that looks like cylinder valves problems. I don't know how to say it in english, but it's like a contiuos "tac, tac, tac", coming from the engine. I 've heard that its a normal caracteristic of this engine. Can you confirm that?
Thank you

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a while and decided to post
This is my 2000 FatBoy (well it started life as one anyway). The major modifications are a Zipper's Performance 120ci engine kit, dual Mikuni carb setup, RedShift cams, Offender exhausts, 240mm tire in the back, stretched tank, Goldhammer front end, and many more.

The bike is nice but not practical, I'm looking into maybe buying a StreetGlide for when I need to go somewhere.
My other bike is a 2002 Buell X1 White Lightning.

x1rider-
Looks sharp..
What is not practical about this bike ?? Is it just a show bike now or what ?? You need to ride that baby !!! I ride with dudes with more radical bikes.....
PS: Who makes those rims ?? & how wide is the front rim ??
I like that rim.....
