Guess that wasn't the right place to save a few bucks...Bummer.
Plus you can get the same tires at a better price in aftermarket...

Before ya remove the back wheel I would get back of bike up off the ground & using an "indicator" slowly turn the wheel to check the rim for possible run-out damage as well..

Just FYI, a good rim will still have a slight bit of run-out....

I would be very carefully inspecting everything..
Hope they are gonna pay for yer damage(s)..

Look at yer caliper in around the pads as well..

Hope you get sorted out..

mfn is an unknown quantity at this point
How have the FATBOY owners set up their bikes for touring? Once set up does the bike make a comfortable long distance hauler? Saw a FATBOY with leather bags and leather trunk over the rear fender where the passenger would sit. Really liked the look but didn't get a chance to talk to the owner.

Have my 06 set up with detachable bags, passanger backrest, luggage rack and windshield. Use the bubba's quick release for bags. Also use a T-bag on the back for the extra long trips. I found the stock bars to be really uncomfortable after about an hour or two of riding so went with mini apes and love them. 90% of the time I dont have any of those on and unless you know what to look for, you cannt see the docking hardware. Best of both worlds in my opion.

When Touring (> 6 hours a day), my Fatboy is set up as follows:

1. Detachable saddlebags
2. Detachable high back rest
3. Sundowner seat (if not touring, i switch back to the badlander)
4. Mini wind screen
5. Rider and Passenger floorboards
6. GPS attached to handlebar
7. Ipod
8. Magnetic 20 Litre tank bag. (Which covers my speedo but as long as i am not faster than the car in front of me, i should be ok with the cops.)

Cheers

hey guys,
I have an '06 Fatty, Have Vance and Hines Big Shots on it currently. I havent done anything to the engine yet, but lookin into the power commander and Screamin Eagle Air cleaner. my question is does that new air cleaner use the stock football shaped cover?? and are they hard to install? (air cleaner and power commander)???

The SE air cleaner does use the stock cover, although you can get a new one from a number of different places if you desire. Kept mine stock gives it more of a sleeper look. Neither the air cleaner or power commander are difficult installs. With that said you need to have a little bit of computer knowledge for the power commander. I would say less than an hour for both if you have some mechanical know how. Good luck.

I have taken my Fat Boy on many trips, my only complaint is that the new 402 Progressive shocks have made it rie hard and they are set on the low setting. I think i am oing back to the stck shoch. Air shocks are just way to exensive. I have saddlebags and a Kuriakyn rear bag that goes over the back rest an it works great !!

I was told that if they are gear to gear cams that they will make noise, not to worry.
