The new SE are a lot quieter than the old ones. I had my pipes changed out to V&H BSS even before I picked it up. I've heard stock '07 FB, and I knew I didn't want mine sounding like a sowing machine. Now it sounds like a HD should.

have an 07 fatboy now and love it. I think its the best looking bike made. I had a 93 fatboy then an 05 roadking classic which i traded in for the fatboy. Everytme I look at it I cant believe how beautiful the darn thing is. When I looked at my roadking I used to say hmmm looks good from here and here but from the back it looked like a bus IMHO. LOve the fatty!

Might as well start with a bang, eh? 8^)
I've got the pewter pearl 07' with the hard side leather saddlebags and a nacelle to start... besides the detachable backrest.
See the pics.
Buddy gave me a batwing fairing off his old 76' FLH and I adapted the brackets temporarily to mount it. Plan is to fab up some detachable ones and be able to remove it when I want; same with the bags which I will use Easy Brackets on. Gonna add a tour pak and something like the Signature Seat to tour with, but will stay with the stock main seat for solo riding. Had a local leather guy make me a fender bib that matched for that type of riding.
Regards.

Proud owner of 2006 FB
New to the site, and I own a 2006 FB -- 1st bike. I love it!!!! So far, I have customized quite a bit...if I ever get a picture small enough to post, I will. The basic changes have been paint (cherry red ghost flames w/ black base), flame accents & vance/hines pipes.

RnR custom cycles in Canada carries the bracket kit you need.

The also have a bracket kit to mount the FLT bags to your fatboy... (or not... I dont know if the kits been revamped for the wide-tire fatboy)

Yup, they sure do...
Problem is they want an arm and leg for it. Price I saw was like $250 US for the bracket kit. Way too much when the dealer quoted me $190 for everything from the triple trees out to the windshield plexi...
What I did was just buy a semi-scratched windshield off Ebay for $67. I'll take the mounting brackets off and copy them on some sheetmetal. Will cut that out and cut/weld the existing mounting bracket tops to these attachment bottoms, then have them chromed. End result, I have a detachable fairing and windshield both. Only real investment is time and elbow grease, and THAT is the sort of time I don't mind investing in.
