Sweet ride man, I looked at your pics on your home page, she's a beaut! But that sig has got to go, it detracts from your awesome scoot.
I wondered how comfortable the seat is, I am looking for a good solo for my bike (my wife don't ride) is it comfy for all day riding?

Hi G,
Can you use the stock wiring and cables on the Chubby's? Also, what's your seat and is it comfy for all day rides?
TIA

I did a few things to it recently, but the most visible are the new wheels and V&H exhaust, along with dumping the belt guards and putting the black swingarm back on. I also got rid of the HD passing light/turn signal kit in favor of the stock signals (with Kuryakyn LEDs) relocated to the forks, and Kuryakyn bullets under the floor boards. The seat's a leather LePera and the air cleaner cover is a Dewey Rammer. I've also got a Progressive air shock system under there so I can pop the bike back up on the fly, for the twisties. And new Z pads on those floating rotors so she'll slow as well as she goes.
On top of that, I just had my SERT equipped 98"/37g build tuned by Doc.
Life is good!

Awesome looking ride man. What lepera is that, and can you ride on it all day? Another question, how did you get the stock turn signals on the forks?
TIA

Thanks.
The seat is just the LePera Silhouette Deluxe Solo, in leather with gel. And yes, you can ride it all day. First day I had it I put 400 mile on, with no issues. I also bought the matching pillion, so when I want to carry a passenger I can add it on with two screws. I think though, the regular Silhouette would probably be enough for most riding, I like the comfort but the regular Silhouette would be a touch thinner.
I used a couple of the extra threaded studs and spacers from a passing light relocation kit, to thread the stock signals into the holes in the side of the lower triple tree. I just played with the twist a few times until I found the right spot to get the light to be tight and aligned to the front. Could have thrown a lock nut on, but I just loaded the threads with loctite. Works for me.

qu@s@r, Thanks man, it was love at first sight, not sure wat your referring to about my "sig" but I don't mind constructive criticism, elaborate a little and help a newB
The solo seat has not won any comfort awards, after 4 hrs its grin & bear it, but its hard for a chromeoholic to make such a sacrifice for comfort.
Thanks for the input

I agree SCREAMN EAGLE1 that you have a nice bike, now that is a display of chrome, but the sig does kinda weird ya out.
I joined the Fatboy fraternity myself today, picked up a new 06 on what seemed like a screamin deal. Spent some time on it this afternoon putting some break in miles on it.
They have another if anyone is looking for a deal, located in NE TX.

oh, I get what you guys are talkin about my sig, wow torched by my 3rd post dont worry it was a one time post to introduce myself in the fatboy fourm, i didnt think it would cause such a sturr. it does give you that commin at ya, in your face, sensation. i guess it can really wear at the nerves aye, i never really intended to use it in my signature since i dont have premissins for this or for avatars. the attachment is an anamated gif i made last winter when i couldnt ride (see what winter does to a biker), as you can see, i can choose not to carry it into each post. its the only way i can attach pictures and see them without being a pay member, I think, so I will just host from my own server and insert them in my posts. but now you got me thinin, sig avatar thanks for the tip

Recessed tail light
Just getting my 03 Fatboy painted as we speak. Timing is right if I want to change from a stock tail light to any kind of recessed brake light. I want to keep away from the side mount because I use my bags for touring. I wondered about crescent shaped LED, but havent seen a fatboy with other than the box outside.
Any pictures or suggestions?

I think its cool. Gives it a badass hotrod look. Have the same on mine except the air cleaner cover is a skull and I use a green filter instead of a K & N.
