Heck no!!
But the fender rails/struts do have to be removed. Easy nuff.

I think Harley calls em 'Harness bags'
I got really lucky on those and snagged em from a dude on ebay(new) for $214.50 including shipping

Stratplexi,
The bag is a sissy bar bag that I made a bracket for. The bracket is real similar to a tool bag bracket and mounts the same way, under the fender strut and to the footpeg hole. Works great for glasses and stuff you need to get to quickly. I have even pulled stuff out while going down the road although I would not recommend that.

I've been wanting a Fat Boy for quite some time. So, after some time about me talking bout them, and showing my wife pisture of them, she finally let me get one. I've only had it for a little over a week, but I thought that I would share a pic of it with ya'll.
It's a '94, fuel injected.
Course, now I gotta start with the upgrades. I've already been "allowed" to get the Stage 1 kit and exhaust. Plus, I'm planning on getting some new rims and maybe some good leather saddle bags.

Are those the solid spun aluminum wheels (I think they are) or the chrome ones? My fatty isn't coming until April and I'm thinking to replacing the stock wheels with the spun aluminum ones but I have never seen them look so shiny
I noticed that the new 15th aniversary edition has the stock looking wheels with a chrome ring, now that is nice!! I wonder if I can get these wheels on my ride or are they are only available for this special edition bike.
Anyone know?...
Cheers,
Peter

The outer part of that wheel is the only part thats chrome. They are pretty cool.
I bet if you give it a few months we'll see some on ebay where the owner upgrades to a different wheel.
I've already seen a few SE Fat Boy seats listed(You know, the ugly one?? LOL)
I think for the price you'd pay the stealer for a set of those wheels you could prolly get a set of fully chromed for about the same price, or less.

I love mine, and I love the 15th anniversary and screaming eagle versions as well. Since I just bought mine last May, I'm not quite ready to move up.
I like the versatility of the bike as well, and it rides real nice doing two-up with the Mrs. as well! I've got the stock paint, which I personally think is some fine work by the Moco. The previous owner bought it new, and then added the HD chrome/slotted wheels, Screaming Eagle exhaust slip-ons, passenger floor boards, tear drop mirrors, new "fat boy" saddle bags. I added the a luggage rack and Mustang seat, not shown in photo. The bike came with a Mikuni Carb, Hi performance ignition, and quick detachable windshield and quick detachable sissy bar.
