I can't say enough good things about Waco. I'm stationed at Fort Riley and took a trip through Texas early last year and burnt my starter up (my fault-long story). They bent over backwards to get me on the road. They even had a free night ticket for a local motel that they let me have (took an extra day because of a screw up at another dealership who was suppose to next day air the starter). Service Manager (I can't think of her name at the moment) even took me out to a local bar. The parts guy ended up having to drive halfway to Beumont to pick up the starter (Beumont HD met him halfway). If and when I buy another HD, I will make a trip to Waco no matter where I'm living.
BTW, MPs do everything Cav does plus more Just fkng with ya

silverback,
yeah i am really impressed with the waco store. i went up yesterday to finish up some paper work, and paul my sales guy told me that there going to try to get all of my mods done before i pick up the bike. that is parts pending of course. they're taking stage1 and the whole nine yards. by the way i'm married to a DA cop and former mp, so i hear the comments all the time. but at least i get to ride arround in 35 tons of fun.

Is Paul the grey beard that works in sales? That kind of impressed me too. Looks like they kept an old timer from their old store.
Actually, If I had it to do over again I probably would have tried to go armor or infantry. Actually, I probably would have went Marines--they seem like they have to put up with less bull shat with non-warfighting training, property, etc. They focus on combat--the way that they army should.

trust me there's plenty of BS in the cav community too. we are as you probably know doing alot of the stuff MP's do now.....iraq speaking.

Glad you got home OK. You'll probably find that the Standard rides a little better than a Bradley.

ok this wait is killin me. the weather here has been so nice. just a few more days till i can start riding. i even signed up for 2 MSF calsses, the riders edge, and the one on ft hood. bolth have prety much the same curriculium, but the one on ft hood is supposed to be an advanced course. it's been over ten years since i've ridden and as you all know there are those perrishable skills.....which i'm sure that mine are long since perrished. so a little refreshing and some quality time alone in a parking lot. i'm also looking into the dvd set....can't remember the name of the title, but i know if i do a seacrh here i'll find it. just can't wait to scratch that "itch".

i can't believe this
yesterday i call HD of waco to check to see if they got my bike in yet, and the status of the parts that i ordered. well the pipes made it in, but the other stuff isn't there yet.....no sweat. so they thansfer me to my sales guy....he says the got my bike, but there's a glitch. i got a sinking pit in my stomach, and said "a glitch?" he says yeah....it's injected, and it's a $499 option, and that he'll call me back to see how long it's gonna take to get my carbed bike. i told him i'll be right be the phone. so while i'm waiting and steaming over $500, i decide that i wouldn't mind an injected bike. paul calls back, and i tell him that i'll take it, but on one condition.....you have to do something about the price. he says i need to talk to the manager and call me back. i told him look this is y'all's screw up. when he calls back he tells me there's nothing that he can do about the now $400 option, but the manager told him to take off 10% of all parts and labor, and 25% off the ecm flash. it sounded like a decent deal, and they were up front and honest about the mistake so i went with it.
