Cylinders, Pistons & Cams. And yeah, there's a difference!

Hiya all,I also just found this forum, I'm from the east coast of Australia and saw a mention about it on the HD Australia Forum, not nearly as big as this, but very useful, a month ago i took delivery of my '08 FXST and cant get that silly grin off my face.
Not made for the US market any more, seems everyone wants all the chrome, but to much bling just aint my thing. With the Aus Dollar at such a great exchange rate its worth looking at your sites for parts, so any tips on where to look would be mucho appreciated.

I just added these to my Softail Standard. The wife was getting knee pains and these set her legs forward and out slightly. I have a new seat (Sundowner)
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
from Chicago Harley-Davidson on the way and Kuryakyn ISO pegs for her and I. Trying to set the FXSTI up for the long haul.

I have that seat on mine. It will sit you a little lower and forward. Much better than the stocker. But now i need to extend my foot controls next.

G'day all, I have not long purchased my Hog, only have 800K's on the clock, man what a great ride, I am currently saving the dollars to get a stage one job done with Vance & Hines big radius pipes, Would any one have an internal veiw of the TC96B engine, or can anyone point me in the right direction,
Thanks

welcome to the forum. Haven't seen an internal view of the 96" yet, if you find one let us know...

The Sundowner seat is worth every cent. I did 300+ miles last weekend and didn't even notice. 300+ is a decent ride to test a new seat.
Kuryakyn ISO pegs and grips are on also http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=2497 . Another thing I should have done years ago.
I just replaced the stock seat, grips and footpegs 4 years later.
I have 12.5" mini apes on it but just added 4" risers....the new clutch and throttle cables are on the way.

I used to work at a dealership (until the massive layoffs last year) as a service advisor, and I was able to see, first hand, what a lot of the options can do for your performance. The Stage 1 with the Big Radius is a really cool and popular upgrade - and the pipes sound awesome, but if you can afford the Stage 2 (the 95" jugs will give you 103"), it's well worth the extra cash. Plus, if you're thinking of doing it in the future, why pay for labor twice? You may also want to consider the Big Radius 2-into-1. It sounds a bit different than the regular Big Radius (and not quite as loud), but you'll get better performance [i]and[i] better fuel milage with a very similar look. I used to have the V&H Short Shots, and I switched to a Thunderheader last year. Without doing anything else, I got better and more usable torque, and my fuel milage went from about 40mpg to about 50mpg! That's at 55 mph in 5th gear with only a Stage 1, but still, I got a 20% increase. Plus, that's without trying to be conservative with my right hand (I don't race either, though).
