rockinrebel (Chuck),
Thanks for the thanks. I'm in Hawaii, getting ready to transfer to 29Palms CA. This should be my last move till my 1st retirement. I see you are from Savannah. I was at Parris Island for 3 years and at the Air Station in Beaufort for another 3. Spent some drunken' St. Pattys day's down at river street. I was actually trying to go back. I don't know what it was but I love the LowCountry.....By far my best duty station.
Again thanks.............

Jim

Cool Lowcountry

Hey Jim,
Glad you enjoyed our neck of the woods.
INVITATION TO ALL BIKERS:
If you want to enjoy a good party, come to Savannah, GA for St. Patricks Day (March 17th). Big parade and big party on River Street. Maybe we should get a Harley Brigade to ride in the parade! A little rolling thunder would do 'em some good.
Everyone take care and ride safe.

RoBuc:
Are you happy with the way you bike rides ??? The reason I ask is that the top of the rear tire is visible in the pic which unless your in the 250+ lb. range will make for a harsh ride at best. You might have a little too much preload on your rear shocks. Just an observation and not trying to offend you.

Ok damn connection boted me so I'll try this again:

First off let me say it's great to be in such distinghuished company.

Jimbo-29 stumps Make sure you install an oil cooler before going out there (I graduated high school out there as a Marine dependent) Semper Fi devil dog.

Now on to my ride: I have what I can gather to be (through alot of detective work) to be number 30 out of 131 all black carb'd '03 NightTrains. Will post pics as soon as I remember to bring the digital on a run (it has spent the winter in a friends garage).

Mods include Vance&Hines Bigshots, replaced the turn signal lenses with factory smoked versions with clear bulbs, Flanders Broomstick bars (completely straight) in factory risers, and thanks to Budweiser and nice metallic over the factory black.

Future plans include a 250 rear in a black rimmed/black hubbed chrome spoked 18. As well as blacking out the trees and lower legs and different controls and black anodized foot controls.

Keep it Black and Lets keep this post going.

According to HD they only made 131 2003 black carberated Night Trains.

The production run for 2003 started 07/15/02 and mine was assembled 08/24/02. So I am guessing about 1 every day or day and a half which makes it around number 30. This number might be even lower but I like 30 (it's also my badge number).

I gained this info after about 2 dozen phone calls to HD.
