Calling all painters. When painting fiberglass is there a sealer to use before painting or just a good primer. I'm going to be getting the Ness bag extensions and wide rear fender, that are fiberglass, and was wondering about the painting. Also with the bag extenders will bondo crack between the bags and extenders when used solo? Or should I fiberglass it first then bondo?

Definitly fiberglass it. use the cloth or mat soaked in resin to join the pieces together. Don't know how good or bad the fit is but grind down at least 1 1/2 inches of both pieces and lay in the glass. I would do both sides myself. inside and outside. Use plastic filler only for the last skim coat before priming. Prep,prime and paint just like metal. A little flex additive in the primer and clear wouldn't hurt either.
