Wide Front ends?

Ok I have been looking at the Wide rear and Fat front ends on a Fatboys.

I think what would look sharp is 200 in rear up from 150 and maybe 150 or 180 in front up from 130. I relize that for the rear I would need to get a custom swingarm and fender and fender struts. but for the front how wide can i go before I have to trade out the Front forks? and I I can not go to 150/180 (5.5 rim ?) with the stock front forks who sells one that looks like a Fatboy front end that fits that wheel size?

THE true look of FAT in FAT BOY!

Also anyone have a fatter wheel up front and if so how does it ride?

I can't really address your questions through personal experience. But, I can tell you, I considered a wider front tire on mine and posted the question on another forum. Didn't get much response.

Some feedback I did get was that it is popular in Europe. Handling sucks in comparison to stock. Some guys that have done it, changed it back to stock due to handling problems.

That's about all I got other than a little guff. Don't know about what mods would need to be done. I think Avon makes a 150 front tire but I haven't confirmed it. Good luck.

If you go fat in the front, post some pics, I'd like to see em!

I went this way

Put a Weld 18 X 3.5 up front with an Avon venom...It doesn't look "fat" like a 150 16" but gives a nice look.

The Vulcan 2000, one of the biggest bikes on the road, has a 200 rear and 150 front. The Vulcan is big enough to make your FatBoy look like a little toy. They look HUGE on that bike. Another thing to consider is that the Vulcan 2k is the only production bike that uses that size (200/60R16MC) rear tire and only Bridgestone makes one. They are a pain in the butt to get. Not a problem if you just ride around town but if you plan to travel on the bike I would have a spare set handy.
