The dreaded 'waiting list'. Who has one? Who is on one?

This question is directed to everyone really. If you're a customer getting custom paint, are you on a waiting list? If you've already gotten your paint, were you on a waiting list, and if so for how long? Was the end result worth it?

Painters, how long is your present waiting list? If you get the customer's parts today, how long will these parts wait before they see a basecoat?

Right now, my current waiting list is 5 weeks. Fortuneately I have a 'fluid' list, meaning I can shift things around just slightly here and there to accomodate a job that would take only a day or 2 to accomplish. But for the most part if parts are dropped off today, it will be 5 weeks give or take a week, before they even see a basecoat. Normally I like my customers to keep their parts until the week before I'm ready for them, but every now and then they are really afraid because of the wife... the dogs... the cats... the kids.... their buddies.... hehehe. If that's the case, I tag them, and put them in the cabinet so they're safe, and out of the way.
