can someone identify this tank

hi, just picked up this fuel tank and its supposed to be a 2000 road king but i have never in my life seen a rear bracket (under seat) like on this one. i have other road king tanks around the shop and the tank itself looks like all the others except the bracket. any ideas?? will it actually fit an 00-01 road king? thanks guys for your help.

springer- will become famous soon enough
I'd say that was off a 95 or 96 Road King. Looks like early EFI, does it have two fuel line bungs on the bottom for a MM EFI?

I would guess it does not fit 99-up.

This one is an 00 tank

This one was off a 96 R/K Carbed Model (same bracket but bung holes look diff)

It's possible you might have a 97-99 maybe? I know softail models went to that recessed style bung in 97...

That is why the seats are different.

hey thanks guys. those pics help alot pat. the 2000 tank is what i am used to seeing. almost all the paintjobs i do end up being on newer bikes so the pre 2000 ones i am a bit unfamiliar with.

Good to see ya here again! Wish I were 100% sure what you got there...but I'd say for sure it's pre2000 and it could be 97-98.
